The Twisted Viking

My computer has a directory called “Photo Dump”. It contains a collection of miscellaneous stuff that doesn’t really fit anywhere else. Most of it is just random crap I did while I was bored. As it stands now, they were all shot with my old camera, the awesome Canon S3-IS.

Here are a few. EXIF data is long gone.

The first three were actually shot within the last few months and were me playing with low light and/or macro. The last one…I’m too lazy to look it up but it entertains me so I’ll post it. I know no one’s reading this much yet but they will…oh yes…they will…

Well, here we be. I now have my very own BLARGH!!!

As it says on the About page, this blog’s primary goal is to be a way for me to track my progress as I relearn what I used to know about (more or less) serious photography and expand on that.  I’ll probably be dropping blogs that have to do with some of my (many) other interests but will be trying to tie them in with a photographic theme.

Let’s start with one of my recent favorite shots, a chance happening I caught the day of the first big snow in Central Indiana of the year.

The only real processing is a little cropping, some additional contrast, and decreased brightness.

Another one I got at Cool Creek Park a few weeks ago.

I cropped the crap out of it and did a little bit of contrast adjustment but pretty much what’s here is what came off the camera. Just in the right place at the right time.
